Little Dragons

Big confidence starts with little steps.

Looking for fun, age-appropriate martial arts classes for your 3–7-year-old in Denver? At Tran Family Martial Arts, our Little Dragons program helps young children build confidence, coordination, focus, and self-discipline in a positive, encouraging environment.

Each class is designed for preschool and early elementary-aged children, with engaging activities that keep kids moving and learning. Students practice basic martial arts techniques, including punches, kicks, balance, and age-appropriate self-defense skills, while learning how to listen, follow directions, and work with others.

We celebrate every accomplishment, from trying a new movement to speaking up with confidence. As children progress through our Denver martial arts program, they can earn belts that recognize their effort, growth, and commitment. Our experienced instructors make every class active, supportive, and fun, so your child can learn new skills, make friends, and feel proud of what they can do.

The Tran difference

✓
Confidence they can feel.We help shy or unsure kids stand taller, speak up, and believe they can do hard things — on the mat and at school.
✓
Discipline that actually sticks. We teach listening, waiting their turn, and following directions in a way that feels like part of class, not a lecture.
✓
Focus and self-control.Kids learn how to pay attention, manage big feelings, and reset instead of melting down.
✓
A safe, well-run class.Small, age-appropriate groups, clean mats, and instructors who know how to teach kids — not just adults.
✓
Classes kids ask to come back to.Games, high-fives, and real progress so martial arts feels fun, not like another chore.
✓
Coordination, strength, and energy well spent.Balance, movement, and fitness built through drills that match how 6-year-olds actually learn.
✓
Simple, age-appropriate self-defense.Practical skills and the confidence to stay safe — without turning class into a fight club.
✓
Friendship and teamwork.Partners, encouragement, and a group they belong to outside of school.
✓
Respect and character.Bowing, “yes sir / yes ma’am,” treating others well, and becoming the kind of kid parents are proud of.
✓
A family school you can trust.Warm atmosphere, parents welcome to watch, clear communication, and instructors who treat your child like a child.

Master Hai Tran opened his school in 1988 with a simple goal: teach excellent martial arts and help every student grow in body and character.
